Do you have a plan to save your smile?

Do you have a plan to save your smile?

Save your smile with an ASA dental plan.

Did you know that those over the age of 65 are seven times more likely to be diagnosed with oral cancer than those under 65?

Dental coverage is too important to lose, especially for those over or nearing age 65. If you are 65, soon to turn 65, or have loved ones who are 65 and older, consider this: it is far less expensive to invest in preventive dental care now than in invasive emergency procedures down the road. (less painful, too!)

Routine dental examinations can:

  • Detect oral cancer before it becomes life-threatening
  • Treat cavities before they lead to infection and tooth loss
  • Fight gum disease and other chronic inflammatory conditions

Your ASA membership includes access to a large portfolio of insurance benefits, including quality dental plans starting at only $29.96 per month.

Applying for coverage is fast and easy, and you can cancel at any time!

Benefits include:

* Free cleanings every 6 months

* No-deductible preventive care

* Immediate coverage of major services* (most plans have waiting periods!)

* Quick claims turnaround

You even get a prescription savings discount card to help you save on hundreds of generic drugs (just $4!), and save about 10-15% on most name-brand drugs.

Try Transit in Tacoma and much more

Hi ,

There’s a lot going on in Pierce County on the transportation front and we have the scoop. For the last three years in collaboration with the Coalition for Active Transportation and the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, TCC has encouraged thousands of Pierce County residents to walk, bike, and use public transportation. We have had some major successes:

  • Pierce County now has a Complete Streets ordinance which will make streets safer for all users
  • 40 planners and engineers were educated on the latest in street design at a workshop
  • Community bike rides and events engaged more than 5,500 Pierce County residents.
  • We heard from 1000 Pierce County residents about the obstacles they face when they walk or bike

And there is more in store!

October is Try Transit Month in Tacoma, and our partners Tacoma on the Go! have a series of fun activities lined up with activities such as riding the bus with the Mayor of Tacoma, Marilyn Strickland, a series of Citizen Advocacy 101, and a Friday Forum on Transportation is a Life Determinant with Ron Sims

And don’t forget, Downtown On the Go! luncheon is on October 10th, don’t miss it!

We’ll see you out there on the bus!
