7 days. 3 things to do. 1 community.

October 30, 2012
rtn-header
,

We are just a week away from the election, and our opposition is getting desperate. There are making this all about taxes, and not about the community. They are misusing facts and information, misinforming voters, and in some cases, outright lying.

Proposition 1 is all about community. It’s about keeping people connected to jobs, services, and ensuring our citizens have access to transportation choices.

Supporters like yourself are going above and beyond these last weeks of the campaign. Many of you showed up in the rain on Saturday to canvass, you’re showing up to sign wave early in the morning, and make phone calls late into the night.

And now we’re asking you for just a little more help to get us across the finish line.

Help by giving what you can
Chris Karnes, one of our most active supporters, has pledged $500 if we can match it with online donations by Friday this week.

That’s $1000 total toward the campaign when we need it most for direct voter contact. Will you go online right now and give $25, $50, or $75 to help us reach our goal?

Your contribution is critical to getting the word out that people are depending on us to restore transit service to Pierce County.

Help by telling your story
Your story matters and it helps show the importance of transit. Consider writing a 250 word Letter to the Editor and submit it on The News Tribunes website.

Help by giving your time
Phone banks are continuing through Election Day! We still have phone bank slots to fill:

Tuesday October 30th 5pm-8pm: 6 Spots Available
Thursday November 1st 5pm-8pm: 6 Spots Available
Saturday November 3rd: 10:00-12:30, 1:00-3:00, 3:00-5:30
Monday November 5th: 10-8 come for a couple hours whenever you can!
Tuesday November 6th: 10-5 come for a couple hours, or all day!

It’s a fun way to get involved with the campaign, and there’s always food provided. Just email info or call 360-561-8141 to RSVP for your time today!

Thank you for your continued support, lets win this!
