Tomorrow you can stop the attacks on transit

Tomorrow, Stop the Attacks on Transit
Last Chance to Sign up for Transportation Advocacy Day
Helen ,

All of us at Transportation Choices, whether we are staff, members, or volunteers, fight for better transit and safer streets because we know that we need more transit, not less.

Unfortunately, not everyone in Olympia sees it that way. The latest attack on transit is a set of bills that aim to dismantle Sound Transit and a regional system of light rail. Thanks to your help, voters across the Puget Sound overwhelmingly approved the Sound Transit 2 light rail expansion plan in 2008. Since ST2 was passed, light rail to Federal Way has been delayed due to the largest recession since the 1930s. Elected officials in South King County, who claim they want light rail to Federal Way, are proposing a set of bills in the legislature that would dismantle Sound Transit piece by piece. If these bills passed, light rail would to Federal Way and Pierce County would be delayed indefinitely.

The voters of Washington State time and time again, say yes to transit. In the last four years, during the recession, voters in Washington have said yes to transit revenue taxes 15 out of 18 times. We need you in Olympia tomorrow. The voters across Washington State want more transit, not less. Help us send that message tomorrow and join us for the largest Transportation Advocacy Day ever.

We cannot win without you,

Andrew

It is not too late, register right now for Transportation Advocacy Day.
